ALLRED is sponsoring Michael Bumpus’ program: Elite Training Academy (“ETA”) by funding aspiring athletes who do not have the financial means to join. The program trains young athletes, recognizes talent in the Washington area, and prepares kids for life after high school.

Michael Bumpus is a former NFL wide receiver. He played at Washington State before being signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent. In 2012, Bumpus and wife Jennifer started Elite Training Academy. For five years he was the head football coach at Monroe High School. Now, he is a radio host of Bump & Stacy on Seattle Sports, and focuses much of his energy on growing ETA.

Whether it’s a scholarship or a job opportunity, Bumpus and his staff also use their relationships with colleges, scouts, and throughout the sports world to get kids where they want to go

“It’s all about development. Most kids won’t play after high school. It’s more about preparing them for life after high school through sports. It taught me how to be on time, how to be detailed, to communicate, all of the things I do today for work. We use that as a tool to prepare them for the real world.”

The most important part of the program and ALLRED’s involvement is that the community feels their presence and the ongoing support for summer camps, fundraising, and the kids. It’s critical to Bumpus that people know that it’s not a mad dash for cash, but to provide tools and opportunities for character development and community resources.
