Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about combining and claiming rebates.

Can I combine utility rebates with federal tax credits?
Yes. In most cases utility rebates, manufacturer rebates, and federal tax credits stack — meaning you can claim all of them for the same project. We'll show you exactly how they combine when we provide your quote.
How do I know which rebates I qualify for?
Eligibility depends on your utility provider, your existing equipment, your new equipment, and sometimes your household income. The fastest way to find out is to schedule a free assessment — we'll review every active program for your address.
Do I get the rebate up front or do I have to wait?
It depends on the program. Many utility rebates (like the Seattle Clean Heat program and PUD instant rebates) are deducted directly from your invoice. Others are paid as a check to you after installation, and federal tax credits are claimed on your tax return.
Will Trust Allred fill out the rebate paperwork?
Yes. For all utility rebate programs we're approved to participate in, we submit the paperwork on your behalf. For federal tax credits, we provide the AHRI certificate, model and serial numbers, and a paid invoice — everything your tax preparer needs.
What if I'm not sure my home qualifies?
Call us at 206-350-8704 or schedule a free in-home consultation. There's no cost and no obligation, and we'll tell you exactly which rebates and incentives apply to your situation.
